Super Sunday 2025 was a day of energy, unity, and generosity! We were honored to have Ira Lipsey serve as our lively emcee, joined on stage by Jimmy Ringel, Chair of Memphis Jewish Federation, who helped lead the program.
The room was filled with pride as some of our incredible Lions of Judah turned up to show their unwavering commitment to Jewish life in Memphis and beyond. In another powerful moment, representatives from Memphis’ synagogues, day schools and Jewish agencies marched across the stage, a visible reminder of the breadth and depth of the work we support together.
One of the highlights of the day was Federation’s presentation of grant checks to each local Jewish organization that provides education and programming for children from birth to age five. Federation secured this impactful grant from a national funder and through a matching grant from a local donor, the Herbert Shainberg Foundation. This milestone embodies what happens when local dedication meets national partnership: greater impact for all.
And the momentum didn’t stop there. Following the pep rally, our community-wide phone-a-thon raised more than $250,000 in just two hours—a true testament to the generosity and commitment of our Memphis Jewish community, where we are all in for each other.
Super Sunday once again reminded us that when we come together as a community, we can do extraordinary things. Thank you to every volunteer, donor, and agency who helped make the day a success. You can still play your role by giving to the Annual Campaign to strengthen the next chapter of Memphis Jewish life: jcpmemphis.org/donate-now.
